13 Mar Once upon a time the Trolloff a classic build based on the 26" inch version of the Ogre (which is itself the touring version of the first Karate Monkey version, that's one of the first stock 29er, period.) and the german piece of bike engineering called Speedhub made by Rohloff. Since the 26 inch is becoming old fashion like travelling with pannier or complete black bikes or white socks with sandals (or is this coming back?), more and more people began to build Ogre with Rohloff hubs. The generous thunder Burt 2.1×27,5 tires, combined with a solid Apex 1×11 drivetrain, the silver Zipp cockpit and ther already classic Gripper tape give the bike the rugged look we love. 13 Mar Fairdale Weekender deeply revisited to add the touring attitude that doesn't come out of the box. We swapped the stock 1×9 transmission, the flatbar and the front wheel for respectively an Apex 2×10 group, a comfy Salsa drop and a Son dynamo hub to power up the lights. Also the rear wheel has been rebuild to match the rolling performances of the front one.
